Back in California -

I made it back home to SD in one piece just in time for the Fourth of July.
I'm going to be sticking around here for a few weeks before heading back to Asia on July 24th for a 2 week tour of Japan.

This weekend Sat July 12th I'll be performing at my favorite venue "The Belly Up" in Solana Beach. I'm sharing the stage with Stepping Feet (Dave Matthews Experience) and a rocking local band Misdirection. It should be a great night of music. To get tickets go to www.bellyup.com and get presale for only $10!!

So all you long time friends and fans I have some cool news*
My song "California" is climbing the charts in Japan & has cracked the Top 40
If you click on this link you can watch my progress on the Love FM Top 40 Chart- I'm currently in the 6th spot* http://lovefm.co.jp/chart/w_chart.php?PHPSESSID=fc105fc2eca26cfb9099b33adbfd2172

I have a little story... I met someone over the weekend that had such a great idea and passion for there idea but they were to afraid to chase it cause they were afraid of not having security and a regular pay check. Well let me tell you about no security... try becoming a musician! ha!
Over the last decade I have walked the beaches and streets with a guitar on my back.  I just love performing and writing and singing. Over the last 10 years I have also worked every kind of job you can imagine as I performed my music at night. Its been a roller coaster of a ride but I never gave up.  About 2 years ago after I got fired from another meaningless job I just decided to throw in the towel and never work for someone else again. Just pursue my dream and what a great decision it was. The last 2 years I've been traveling the world playing music and enjoying life so much more. Its amazing how things are meant to be...
I guess I'm only telling this cause I'm sure there are lots of people out there who have a dream in there back pocket but are to afraid to chase it cause society has them locked into paying there bills on time and thinking about the future. I say fuck it! Throw caution to the wind and do what you want. You will be happier, healthier and more successful**

Hoping to see you at The Belly Up this Saturday !!!

Oh and for all my Canadian friends and fans I will be performing in Vancouver mid August... Venues TBA soon.

Konnichiwa Friends

Well I just returned from 2 weeks in Asia and what a amazing time. I flew in to Tokyo and started my promo tour on May 22.
My album releases in Japan on June 18th so we were crazy busy trying to get as many photo shoots, interviews,
radio plugs in as we could in the short time we had there.
It was 8 hour work days running around Tokyo but it was a blast.
The Green Room Festival went off on May 24th and my band mates flew in the day before... we rocked our set and it was surprising
to see Japanese fans that Ive never met singing my songs*
We had a great time and I had the time of my life. I have never had better hosts then Taro and Risa and Mami. You guys are awesome!
I flew out after the festival and hit up Thailand. I lived as a monk in the mountains for 2 days it was amazing.
We landed in Bangkok and then flew out to Udon Thani up near the border of Laos . We then proceeded to drive 2 1/2 hours up dirt roads where a Buddhist Temple towered out of the mountains.
It was something to see... how the built this structure in the middle of nowhere is any ones guess.
I had to dress in all white and straight up live as a monk - it was something else! It was very peacful and a once in a lifetime experience butI was sooo ready to party when I got out of there.

So a few days of partying in Thailand and then I was back in Japan to do some more radio interviews and promo*
I just flew back home to Hawaii yesterday and Im trying to work off my Jet Lag.

So now what? well I'm gonna chill in the islands for a month or so play some shows and write some new material...surf and enjoy life*
I'll defiantly be back in Cali by Mid July as Ill be performing at The Belly Up w/ Stepping Feet on July 12th.
I also just got a email this morning telling me my song "Together" will be aired on ABC Family Channel movie "The Circuit" this Sunday June 8th  and the last little bit of good news is that we recently finalized a licensing deal with Huntington Beach "Surf City USA to be there official music.

So you know how it goes... just working it...enjoying the days and hoping you are all great!

Stay in touch & hope to see you soon

Hawaii

I'm sitting here on the 5th floor of the Diamond Head Ambassador staring out into the most beautiful ocean...waves crashing and only 4 surfers out! The ocean is calling to me telling me to jump into its warmth... and here I remain sitting on the balcony watching the waves instead of surfing them cause I'm sick !!! Oh man am I sick! Nothing is worse then being sick in the tropics... you feel like your completely useless. Outside is just beautiful and the weather is perfect and your stuck sitting in your room.
I think on the plane ride over I got something and it hit me right where it hurts the most ... my throat! Chicken noodle soup and tea for 3 days now... give me a break! Well I guess its better to get sick now then next week when i leave for Japan but oh man do I wanna surf...hopefully tomorrow I will feel better**
So I'm shacked up at a condo right on the beach in Diamond Head just 5 mins from Waikiki. Im here till next week when I fly out to Japan to play at the www.greenroom.jp festival. My band will be flying out of California and meeting me in Tokyo. We perform on May 24th and the next day I fly off to Thailand for 5 days. I am returning to Tokyo on the 31st to do some promotional work for my release and hope to be back in Hawaii by June 3-4th. I think I will spend a month here writing my next album before returning to California* I have a show at The Belly Up July 12th so I will definitely  be back by then*
I now have an official Japanese website!! www.tearbridge.com/jj  My album releases in Japan next month ... I think on the 18th. I hope to be returning to Japan every 3-4 month to support the release.
Well for now I will wish you all a big aloha and make sure to pound some Vitamin C!!

From Hawaii to Canada

Well I have gone from one extreme to another... I just left Hawaii and landed in Canada!! Yikes* I'm only here for 2 weeks but I might need to be de-thawed when I leave, man I forgot the world got this cold. Its brutal. hahaha I have a lot of friends and family here so its nice to see some familiar faces but I was definitely meant for the sunshine. The great thing about Canada is everyone here is sooo friendly... I had to go to the DMV and everyone working there was cracking jokes and smiling. Crazy@!#@!

The last time I was in the DMV in Cali I thought I was gonna get shot from the girl behind the desk.  It also amazes me that Canada is so far ahead of us in recycling and saving energy... There are recycling cans on all the streets and in almost every buisness and bar. All the taxis are Hybreds and the bus system is electric. The whole city is powered by Hydro and we are talking about 3 million people here in Vancouver. Very impressive**
